Flossie gave him a peck on the cheek before climbing into the passenger seat, and then the car pulled away.
Glued to the window, Miley speculated, “I’ve got a feeling he’s quite the looker. We need to have Flossie introduce him to us later. I’m curious about his job and whether he’d consider modeling.”
Miley was already concocting plans in her head.
After she said that, Stella didn’t reply. Turning around, she noticed Stella staring blankly out of the window.
Miley waved her hand before Stella’s eyes, yet there was no reaction.
Curious, Miley prodded, “Stella, what’s on your mind? You look so engrossed.”
Stella snapped back to reality, yet she remained silent.
Her thoughts lingered on the man she glimpsed in the car, a striking resemblance to Benny.
